Speaking of Rick Springfield, this album is eerily good. I'd given up on getting another good album from him since 1983's Living in Oz. It seems that his music projects since then have been about trying not to be that "Jessie's Girl" guy. This one seems to come from a different place, it's unforced, energetic, timeless. I almost get a Maroon 5 vibe from this. I think that if you gave this music to Maroon 5 to do, it would be hailed as a masterpiece, but since it's Rick Springfield, it will be fortunate to go gold. Rick fan or not, this album really rocks. Final song is an incredibly emotional song about a young girl who died of a brain tumor whom Rick had befriended.
